Nike and Billie Eilish team up to reimagine the legendary Air Force 1 model
The artist and the brand have created the Nike x Billie Apparel collection
Nike and Billie Eilish have reimagined one of Nike’s classics: The Air Force 1 sneaker.
Without a doubt, Nike is one of the most visionary brands on the market. In the 1990s, he burst onto the advertising scene by sponsoring a young Michael Jordan. That already legendary agreement that we reviewed in our special “How Nike and Michael Jordan revolutionized sports marketing” presented a series of incentives to the player.
One of them would be the creation of an own collection designed by the player. This is how the Air Jordans were born, the most successful collection of the brand in its entire history. Over the years, they have wanted to replicate the collaborations, extending them to other areas. This is the case of the new collaboration between Nike and Billie Eilish reimagining the Air Force 1.
Billie Eilish is a singer and songwriter born in Los Angeles. She became famous at just 13 years old when she uploaded “Ocean Eyes” to SoundCloud and viralized the video of it in 2016. Her first studio album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” It won the Grammy for best album of the year.
His peculiar style has caught the attention of the American multinational, which has proposed a collaboration to reimagine one of its classic sneaker models: The Air Force 1. The idea? Search for a new contemporary perspective betting on recycled and environmentally friendly materials.

This collaboration has been made public thanks to a publication on the singer’s social networks. She has shared an AV piece featuring her song “Billie Bossa Nova” from her album “Happier Than Ever.” The brand commented in a statement: “Billie Eilish’s unique approach to self-expression balances a progressive contemporary perspective with a sincere respect for the classics.”
The materials with which Nike has made the Air Force 1 are synthetic nubuck that uses 80% recycled materials and a “mushroom” color according to Nike.
