The Qatar World Cup began its journey this Sunday with its opening ceremony and the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador. During the event, many brands took the opportunity to launch their advertising campaigns for the World Cup.
One of the most outstanding was the one released by the sports portal Bleacher Report, specialized in sports and sports culture. The American company has launched an original advertising campaign with the big stars of the event present.
“Unreal World Cup Toy Animation Hype Tape” is the title of the Toy Story commercial for the World Cup made by Bleacher Report. A fun parody that begins with a boy wearing the number 10 Brazil shirt playing with his Messi and Ronaldo dolls. When he leaves the room the characters come to life just like in the popular movie.
That’s when everything gets out of hand and they start a soccer game. Little by little the great World Cup stars are appearing: Messi and Ronaldo are joined by Kylian Mbappé, Gareth Bale, Harry Kane, Davies or Pedri among others. The Toy Story commercial for the World Cup has a nod to one of the great absent figures: Erling Haaland.
During the boy’s absence we see how everyone fights for a soccer ball in different actions. Van Dijk makes a tackle on Neymar, Gareth Bale is playing golf, Harry Kane takes a penalty off the crossbar, Mbappé competes with Davies in a run and Pedri taps for Spain.
