Barbour’s Christmas advert features Wallace & Gromit once again
The collaboration with Aardman shines once again in a heartwarming festive campaign

Barbour’s Christmas advert brings back Wallace & Gromit with a touch of British humour.
The British brand Barbour has been collaborating with the Aardman studio for three years now to create its Christmas campaigns. Last year, they teamed up with Shaun the Sheep, and this year they’ve decided to bring back the beloved characters Wallace & Gromit.
This year’s Barbour Christmas advert delivers a heartwarming story with the unmistakable charm of the British studio, overflowing with humour, tenderness, and plenty of festive spirit.
Barbour – Gift-o-matic
The Barbour Christmas advert is titled “Gift-o-matic”. It was created by the Aardman studio —the original creators of Wallace & Gromit— and premiered in early November as part of the brand’s holiday campaign.
The story takes us back to the familiar home of Wallace & Gromit, where the ingenious inventor unveils his latest creation: a multifunctional machine capable of wrapping presents, pulling Christmas crackers, and even unwrapping gifts for you. In a touching twist, both Wallace and Gromit are surprised to discover that they’ve given each other the same Barbour Winterberry tartan scarf —a detail that becomes a symbol of friendship and affection.
Beyond its humorous tone, Barbour’s Christmas advert celebrates the season’s traditions and generosity. Barbour uses this story to highlight its tartan collection and its sustainable Re-loved jacket line, developed in collaboration with Oxfam.
According to Paul Wilkinson, Group Deputy Managing Director at Barbour: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Aardman for another year. Both brands share values such as craftsmanship, nostalgia, and attention to detail. This year’s festive film brings a light-hearted charm to our original tartans, especially the new Winterberry Tartan that wraps around Wallace’s Gift-o-matic.”
Nick Park, creator of Wallace & Gromit, added: “Our characters have always represented warmth, eccentricity, and quintessential British charm, making them the perfect fit for Barbour’s Christmas storytelling. The Gift-o-matic is a classic Wallace invention —brilliant, but with a few humorous hiccups. We hope this story, filled with love, humour, and craftsmanship, brings big smiles this Christmas.”
