M&S Food’s Christmas advert stars actress and writer Dawn French alongside the brand’s classic fairy godmother.

One of the busiest brands during the Christmas holidays is the British Marks and Spencer. The multinational retailer has the Christmas campaign as one of the most important moments of the year. To achieve this, it launches its Christmas campaigns with great care.

Last year it delighted us with the famous actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney playing very peculiar gloves. This year, the actress and writer Dawn French will organize her Christmas party with the help of the brand’s popular fairy godmother.

“2024 Christmas Advert” is the title of M&S Food’s Christmas advert for this Christmas. The Christmas campaign will consist of six parts and, just like John Lewis has done with its advertising campaign, will extend the creatives until Black Friday.

The piece shows us the actress Dawn French in a bad mood and tired of all the celebrations that Christmas entails. To do this, she has the help of the fairy godmother, a classic in all the brand’s advertisements. The fairy will decorate the entire house, fill the table with M&S food and even dress the actress so that she is ready to receive all the guests who are waiting outside.

According to Sharry Cramond, Marketing Director at M&S Food: “Last year our fairy added something truly magical to Christmas and this year we’re thrilled to be taking it to the next level, with Dawn French herself joining in on the fun alongside her fairy character. We’re always looking to push the creative boundaries and we think this year’s campaign will leave our customers smiling and feeling super inspired.”
