The British Airways commercial and the emotional look at a baby’s future
The agency Uncommon Creative Studio has been in charge of the advertising campaign

British Airways’ commercial is an open letter to the future of the next generation.
When a baby is born, a blank canvas is born. One that little by little must be colored with experiences that live in life. The first times will be those that remain etched with fire, and then enjoy the small pleasures of life.
Something so basic and universal but at the same time so complicated to represent, is captured perfectly in the latest British Airways campaign. The English airline presents us with a dreamlike advertisement where they are shown as the backbone of all these new experiences.
“Everywhere We Go” is the title of the British Airways commercial made by agency Uncommom Creative Studio, produced by Smuggler and directed by Miles Jay. The company looks to the future to fill newborns with experiences.
The piece begins with a baby on board a plane and, while flying, he is recreating all those experiences that he will see throughout his life. In no apparent order, we see small flashes of childhood, followed by visions of adulthood as she lands at an airport. With small gestures that she makes on board the plane, they turn their gaze to the future. A beach, a smell, a moment. The construction of her as a person and the vital paths that she will take at one time or another.
According to Emmy and Grammy nominated director Miles Jay: “Travel awakens the people we are. I loved the fact that what is still a coming-of-age story was told through the dreams of a sleeping baby during her first flight. The spot shows the beauty of flying and how it puts us in the world to reveal to ourselves who we are.”
