McDonald’s advert is an emotional story: “Forever Date”
The Leo Manila agency was in charge of the advertising campaign

McDonald’s advert celebrates the power of love in fragile moments of life.
On Valentine’s Day, brands usually launch specific promotions and advertising campaigns to celebrate the anniversary. And among them all, this McDonald’s advert made in the Philippines by the agency Leo Manila stands out.
The campaign shows us a couple as they have grown older together. And as in one of their last moments, they manage to have a date like the one they had when they were young.
McDonald’s – Forever Date
“Forever Date” is the title of McDonald’s advert made by agency Leo Manila and starring veteran actors Eva Darren and Leo Rialp.
The piece captures the story of a couple who have endured their relationship over the years. A bond that was formed when they were young and in which McDonald’s played an essential role. When it comes to remembering that date, both of them prepare despite the passing of the years. She struggles to draw the line on her eyebrow because of her shaky hands, and he helps her by showing her his love.
According to Ada Lazaro, Marketing Director of McDonald’s Philippines: “In a time when social media is filled with stories of fleeting love and viral breakups, it is good to remember that such love exists. We hope that by sharing this heartwarming film this Valentine’s Day, we fill our timelines with more heartwarming stories about true love. We started with this and now we hope that people will share their own #ForeverDate stories.”
Raoul Planes, Creative Director at Leo Manila, commented: “McDonald’s has played a significant role in countless love stories, which is why we loved the idea of showing how even simple acts, like sharing fries on a park bench, can provide genuine moments of happiness and reconnection. Now, McDonald’s hopes to continue celebrating a demographic that is often invisible; while showing that love, in its purest form, is unbreakable and timeless.”
