Nike’s commercial surprises everyone with a campaign that represents the obsession with victory.
The big advertising campaigns are coming to the Olympic Games. After seeing Air Canada’s spectacular piece to support its athletes, and Coca-Cola celebrating the power of hugs, comes one of the most anticipated campaigns: Nike.
The American multinational has put all its effort into presenting its advertisement for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. And it does so with a campaign that celebrates the obsession with victory and the determination that is needed for it. There is no shortage of the big stars of the American brand.

“Winnings Isn’t for Everyone” is the title of Nike’s commercial for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It was made by its lead agency, Wieden + Kennedy Portland and represents the passion to win and the effort that athletes put into it.
The piece shows the looks of Nike’s biggest stars when it comes to demonstrating their determination to achieve their goal: winning. The voice-over, narrated by Willem Dafoe, represents the athletes’ conscience and how they do not apologize for the competitive spirit that has brought them there.
LeBron James, Kylian Mbappé, Serena Williams, Bebe Vio, Qinwen Zheng, Cristiano Ronaldo, Vinicius Junior and Alexia Putellas are some of the stars of Nike’s commercial for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
From the brand, they comment: “In a world where wanting to win is seen as a form of arrogance, ‘Winnings Isn’t for Everyone’ speaks of the grit, determination and sacrifice that, according to athletes, are necessary to reach the top in their sport.”
For her part, Nicole Graham, Chief Marketing Officer of NIKE, Inc. commented: “It is about celebrating the voice of the athlete. It is a story about what it takes to be the best. The legacies that are yet to be forged and the dreams that will come true. Remind the world that there is nothing wrong with wanting to win.”
