Roger Federer and Zendaya are the new ambassadors of the sports brand and they face each other in a tennis match.
In June, the Swiss sports brand On presented actress Zendaya as its new brand ambassador. The American actress thus joined Roger Federer, investor and partner of On. Now, they have brought together the two great celebrities in a fast-paced advertising campaign.
In it we see how the two protagonists meet in an On store and challenge each other to play a game of tennis. The brand makes a nod to Zendaya’s latest film, “Rivals,” in which the actress plays a promising tennis player turned coach.
“Roger vs Zendaya” is the title of the On advert starring Roger Federer and Zendaya. It was made by On’s internal team and was premiered during the celebration of Wimbledon, the fetish tournament of the former Swiss player who won it eight times.
The piece shows us how the two protagonists meet by chance in an On store. After a game of staring, the actress challenges the Swiss to a tennis match on the restaurant’s terrace. But the game is not just any one, they play without a ball.
The On ad was filmed outside the On headquarters in Zurich and features a cameo by Darnell Appling, the actor who plays a referee in “Rivals.” And the actress’ facial gestures are the same as the character in the film.
