Top 10: Ten Best Commercials of 2024

Ten best comercials of 2024

These are the ten best commercials of 2024 selected by Eslogan Magazine.

The year is coming to an end and it’s time to look back at the best advertising campaigns of 2024. In a year where we’ve had big events like the European Championship in Germany or the Olympic Games in Paris, brands have been able to shine with great advertising campaigns.

The ten best commercials of 2024 give us different visions on how to approach a creative campaign. We’ve seen examples in adverts like Kleenex, Nike or Volkswagen, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Golf.

In our list we had to leave out absolutely brilliant advertising campaigns, but that’s why we’re here, to decide which were the best ads of the year. Just like we did with the ten best commercials of 2023, we’re going to decide the ten best commercials of 2024. Shall we begin?

10. Deutsche Telekom – Light On

“Light On” is the title of the Deutsche Telekom advert made by the agency Saatchi & Saatchi, produced by Tempomedia and directed by Eugen Merher. The piece is part of the German telecommunications company’s “No Hatespeech” campaign.

9. Peta – Pig Farm

“Pig Farm” is the title of the PETA advert made by the agency Gray London. The piece is made with an animation that is reminiscent of classic drawings from the 30s and 40s. Or others like the video game “Cuphead” or the series “The Ren and Stimpy Show.” It all starts like a fairy tale where a farmer explains to his daughters what his work entails.

8. Kleenex – Big Day

The Kleenex commercial marks the start of the brand’s 100-year history. Titled “The Big Day” it was shot by agency FCB Chicago and is an emotional story about new beginnings and the meaning of letting go.

7. Nike – Winning isn’t Comfortable

Of the many campaigns Nike has done throughout the year, we’re going to stick with this one, “Sunshine” done by its head agency Wieden+Kennedy Portland. This piece is reminiscent of Nike’s classic ads where it reminds us that winning isn’t always comfortable.

6. Powerade – The Vault

In an Olympic Games year, there could not be missing an emotional campaign, one of overcoming and motivation. This is the case of Powerade’s “The Vault” with Simone Biles. The campaign celebrated the return to the Olympic Games of the popular American gymnast.

5. Apple – Flock

Another of the most active brands this year has been Apple, which has launched many advertising campaigns to present its new products, but we have opted for this fantastic advertisement entitled “Flock”. It was created by the agency TBWA\Media Arts Lab with a peculiar style halfway between decadence and technology to demonstrate that Apple products have the best privacy protection.

4. BBC – Olympic Games

Our favourite Paris Olympics advert is this BBC promo entitled “Welcome to the City of Love” by Nexus Studios. The animated-style campaign combines love and sport to the tune of Édith Piaf’s song “Hymne à l’amour” and the voice-over is by Frenchman Pierre Maubouché.

3. Air Canadá – Ticket to Dream

At number 3 we have one of the most emotional campaigns launched for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. “Ticket to Dream” is the title of Air Canada’s advert made by the agency FCB Toronto and tells us an emotional story about immigration and the heroic journey of a father in search of a better future.

2. Volkswagen – Made by Life, Made for Life

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the launch of the popular Volkswagen Golf model. To celebrate, the brand has produced a retrospective of all its models since its launch, looking back at the entire life of a family linked to the popular German model. It was produced by the agencies DDB Berlin and DDB Paris.

1. Coca-Cola – Spills

And the best advert of 2024 is this little masterpiece from Coca-Cola titled “Spills” by the agency OpenX. The campaign perfectly captures the moments of happiness we experience at certain times in our lives. The campaign aims to put a spin on the fact that we drop a Coca-Cola bottle, something that always bothers us and puts us in a bad mood.

This is the insight of the new Coca-Cola campaign, a series of three ads that recreate small moments of happiness. Thus, we will see passionate hugs in different situations: a reunion at a train station, at a party or returning home to hug our dog. Situations where the happiness of meeting that person is greater than spilling a bottle of Coca-Cola.
