Walmart Christmas Advert 2025 | Whoknewville

Walmart’s Christmas advert highlights joy over shopping chaos in a fantasy universe.

Halloween is over, and brands are wasting no time launching their Christmas campaigns. And when it comes to memorable holiday campaigns, they’ve always come from the great Anglo-Saxon retailers.

Walmart has been the first to jump in this year, surprising us with a proposal that combines the aesthetics of Dr. Seuss stories with a modern approach focused on the digital shopping experience.

Walmart Advert – WhoKnewVille

The Walmart Christmas advert is titled “WhoKnewVille” and was created in collaboration with various agencies from the Publicis group: Fallon, Leo New York, Community, Contender, and Digitas. The retailer also worked with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, the company that manages the legacy of the famous author Theodor Seuss Geisel.

The Walmart Christmas advert is set in the fantastic town of WhoKnewVille, a reinvented version of Whoville, the magical setting from “The Grinch.” This choice is no coincidence: the advert draws inspiration from Walmart’s new communication platform, “Who Knew,” launched this summer, and translates it into a visually overflowing universe of color, humour, and fantasy.

The spot shows how the chaos and stress of Christmas shopping can be transformed into joy and fun. With scenes reminiscent of Dr. Seuss’s unique style, Walmart positions itself as the brand that turns complications into ease, helping consumers enjoy the season without the hassle.

According to the brand, in a statement: “Our mission is to help families experience the magic of the holidays without stress. In WhoKnewVille, every purchase and every click is an opportunity to share joy, connect with loved ones, and rediscover the spirit of Christmas. We want our customers to feel that with Walmart, anything is possible during the holidays.”
