Schweppes advert is an spectacular odyssey to Mars
The creative agency TBWA\Paris was in charge of the advertising campaign

The Schweppes advert stands out for its blockbuster production in a campaign set on the Red Planet.
Some of the most iconic advertising campaigns in the world have been led by beverage brands. Their need to reach a mass audience and every corner of the world makes these campaigns spectacular and grandiose.
This is the case with the latest Schweppes advert, which has launched a global campaign to reimagine its brand positioning. And it has done so with a spectacular Hollywood-worthy production.
Schweppes Campaign | Mission to Mars
“Mission to Mars” is the title of the Schweppes advert created by the creative agency TBWA\Paris. It was directed by Susanna White, who also directed “Star Wars: Andor“, and produced by B2Y and RSA Production, the company of filmmaker Ridley Scott.
The piece shows us a near future where humanity is about to set foot on Mars for the first time. When the entire world awaits the first communication, there is no response. That’s because Ava, the first astronaut to step onto the Red Planet, is calmly enjoying a Schweppes tonic while singing “Space Oddity” by David Bowie.
Nicolas Poillot, Global Marketing Director of Schweppes, commented: “In a world where everything moves faster and faster, we wanted to remind people of the importance of taking their time. Schweppes is an iconic brand that invites you to savor each moment with refinement and boldness.”
Meanwhile, François Bazini, Marketing and Innovation Director of Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, added: “The creative concept emerged from asking ourselves what would be the most unique moment to take a break—not in everyday life, but on a planetary scale. And we all know that tomorrow’s challenge is the conquest of Mars. The campaign aims to convey that, even in historic moments, we must stop to enjoy the little things.”
The campaign will be launched in cinemas, television, and digital platforms such as YouTube across 16 European countries. Schweppes has indicated that media investment represents a 52% increase in the TV budget compared to 2024. The primary goal is to impact audiences over 35 years old, a segment that makes up 62% of the European population and will continue to grow until 2027.
