The Adidas advert brings together football legends to ignite excitement for the 2026 World Cup.

It’s a World Cup year and brands are already preparing the ground to showcase their best advertising campaigns. The tournament has historically given us unforgettable adverts, and we hope this edition will be no exception.

The first to make a move has been Adidas, which has gone all in with a campaign starring some of the biggest names in its roster. Legends such as Zidane, Xavi and Beckham come together in a spot that serves as a preview of the brand’s main World Cup campaign.

Adidas – Predator vs F50: “It’s Time to Choose”

The Adidas advert is titled “Predator vs F50 – It’s Time to Choose” and follows a cinematic narrative inspired by thriller and espionage films, where iconic football figures form an international clandestine team.

Veteran Zidane leads the group from an office, receiving a crucial phone call in which Paul Pogba tells him that “everything is in motion.” Other protagonists, such as Beckham, Xavi, Kaká and Alessandro Del Piero, appear distributing the legendary Predator boots in cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Milan and Liverpool.

This staging is not only styled like a movie, but also reinforces the campaign’s core narrative of choice: which side will you take? Control and precision with Predator, or speed and chaos with F50?

The Adidas advert is part of the German multinational’s campaign for the World Cup. Throughout January, the brand has also introduced new versions of the official 2026 World Cup ball, TRIONDA, through activations in cities such as New York, Toronto and Mexico City alongside other football legends.

According to Sam Handy, general manager of Adidas Football: “This campaign sparks a conversation that sits at the heart of football culture, representing two opposing forces that define the modern game: raw speed and total control.”
