Adidas advert advocates positivity in the world of sport.
In the world of sport we always meet wonderful people at all levels. Whether in an amateur competition, playing sport on our own or when we have people who support us. These people push us, motivate us and inspire us to give our best.
That is the leitmotif of Adidas’ latest campaign, based on a study that states that 4 out of 5 athletes frequently receive negative comments from teammates, coaches or the public. Adidas wants to fight against this in its latest advertisement.
Adidas – We All Need Someone To Make Us Believe
“We All Need Someone To Make Us Believe” is the title of the Adidas advert made by the agencies TBWA\Neboko together with 180LA. The campaign aims to inspire athletes to achieve what they set out to do.
The German multinational presents us with several of the firm’s big stars, such as Aitana Bonmatí, Lamine Yamal, Aliyah Boston, Anthony Edwards and Trinity Rodman, among others. They all highlight those people who help them believe in themselves. Friends, partners, our coach, teammates or race assistants. They all play a key role in achieving the results we seek. All to the rhythm of the song “I’m Sticking With You”, reinterpreted by producer and musician James Blake in a choral version.
The brand has taken advantage of the launch of the campaign to promote the “Sideline Effect” initiative. This initiative consists of a series of recommendations on what athletes from their environment and the public need to give their best.
Lamine Yamal commented in a statement: “This has been a year of football that I will never forget, and it would not have been possible without the support of my family, my teammates and, of course, my community, the 304. Throughout the year, and especially in the moments of greatest pressure, I have been able to apply many of the tips from the adidas ‘Sideline Essentials’. Having this confidence and support has allowed me to stay focused and achieve many of my dreams so far.”
For her part, Aitana Bonmatí commented: “Football has allowed me to fulfill dreams that I never imagined. All my achievements would not have been possible without the support of those who have always been by my side. Having positive influences in our environment is key, which is why I continue to work with promising young players through my camp, Campus Aitana. Having gone through academies during my training, I know how important it is for coaches, teammates and supporters to understand how to support players in the best way.”
