Amazon advert for back-to-school: “Save the Everyday”

The ARC Creative agency was in charge of the advertising campaign

Amazon Campaign | Save The Everyday

Amazon’s back-to-school campaign turns everyday scenes into horror and comedy stories.

With no time to digest the holidays, brands related to school supplies make their presence known. Among them is Amazon, which in its back-to-school campaign, stands out as one of the major players in the sector.

To celebrate the return to school, Amazon has launched a fun ad campaign consisting of two commercials: one with a horror tone and the other with a comedic touch. Both are starring high school students.

“Save the Everyday” is the title of Amazon’s campaign, created by the agency ARC Creative, directed by Michael Spiccia, and produced by MJZ. The campaign features two commercial spots aimed at a college audience.

Amazon advert: “Lavatory of Horrors”

The first Amazon advert is titled “Lavatory of Horrors”, presenting a typical slasher-style horror scene. These situations don’t faze our protagonist, who solves them all with quick purchases on Amazon—from a sinister violin sound to a very rundown shower.

Amazon advert: “Meet Cute Chaos”

The second Amazon advert is titled “Meet Cute Chaos” and portrays a typical high school hallway encounter. A parody of a romantic comedy, the moment is ruined by poorly done nails or suspicious body odor.

Amazon’s campaign stands out for its fast-paced audiovisual storytelling, polished cinematic aesthetics, and effective use of music. According to the brand, in a statement: “We wanted to show how Amazon can be a reliable and agile resource for students. Whether it’s a minor mishap or a big opportunity, our platform is designed to help you in a pinch.”
