The campaign encourages us to spend less on the return to school

Amazon’s advert about back-to-school is a fun story starring Michelle Buteau.
When August arrives, brands are already preparing for the return to school. Those who have children know that, despite the holidays, they have to prepare for the school year, which begins in September. In the new digital paradigm, Amazon is now the star.
The American multinational has launched a fun advertising campaign starring actress Michelle Buteau. In it we see her preparing to buy products that her children will not use, but at least she will save money on them.

“Spend Less on Your Kids” is the title of Amazon’s back-to-school advert. It was directed by Golden Globe-winning actor Ramy Yousses and stars American comedian and actress Michelle Buteau.
Amazon’s advert encourages us to cut costs and spend less money on the back-to-school season, a period in which families have to spend quite a lot of money. To do so, they have created a humorous campaign starring Michelle Buteau in which we see in a comic tone different situations that occur when we buy new products for our children.
So, the actress breaks the fourth wall by telling us: “I love my kids, but I also love not being broke. So spend less on your favorite little freeloaders with Amazon, because every dollar you don’t spend on them, is a dollar you didn’t spend on them.”
According to Jo Shoesmith, Amazon’s global creative director, in a statement: “The coming together of two of comedy’s most unique voices helped take this campaign’s comedic observations about expensive children to the next level. Michelle Buteau makes it all funny and her energy is the perfect embodiment of the mother in all of us.”
