Amazon’s Christmas commercial: “Joy Ride”

VP Global CCO has been in charge of the advertising campaign

Amazon’s Christmas commercial invites us to enjoy life at any age.

One of the most active brands at Christmas is, without a doubt, Amazon. And no wonder, the American multinational faces the time of year when more transactions are generated. It is normal that their Christmas campaigns are among the most anticipated in the sector.

This year invites us to enjoy life no matter how old you are. Any time is good to enjoy happy moments and above all, share it with those you love.

“Joy Ride” is the title of Amazon’s Christmas commercial. It was made by the agency VP Global CCO, produced by Hungry Man and directed by Wayne McClammy.

The piece shows us some grandmothers, lifelong friends, watching all the children throw themselves down a snowy hill. One of them notices their excited look and decides to buy an usher for the sleigh. Ipso facto, she gives them to him so that together they can fuck with him.

The Amazon Christmas commercial is a love letter to the lasting friendships and memories we share at any time. According to Jo Shoesmith of VP Global CCO: “This year’s holiday campaign is inspired by our Amazon customers and their ingenious ideas and traditions. The stories we tell serve to remind us that sometimes the joy brought about by doing something special for our loved ones, can uplift us all at this time of year.”

In Amazon’s Christmas ad, the music “In My Life”, the legendary song by the Beatles, plays, but in a version created specifically for the Christmas campaign. In it an orchestrated version composed by 40 different musicians is performed.
