Coca-Cola and Converse launch red Chuck 70 sneakers.
Cobranding is a marketing technique capable of bringing together two quite different audiences. Thanks to a product that combines the values, identity, and appeal of both brands, it creates a unique proposition that amplifies their reach and generates a greater impact in the market.
One of the latest examples is the partnership between Coca-Cola and Converse, coming together to launch a red version of the Converse Chuck Taylor 70 sneakers. The campaign features a commercial starring rapper Vince Staples.
Coca-Cola and Converse – Everyone’s Chuck
The Coca-Cola and Converse campaign is titled “Everyone’s Chuck”. It was directed by Bradley Calder and stars rapper Vince Staples, who plays “Chuck” in a modern and cinematic-style film.
Self-expression serves as the central theme to showcase the new clothing line. The collection includes the limited-edition Chuck 70s, along with apparel and accessories that reinterpret the classic style of both brands.
References to Coca-Cola’s iconic imagery are constant: the signature white ribbon, the red-and-white color palette, and the distinctive green of the brand’s vintage bottles are all reimagined in the new designs.
Fans of both brands will also have the chance to customize their new Chuck 70s, choosing details such as laces, insoles, patches, and heel plates. This concept reflects Converse’s “Do It Yourself” spirit and Coca-Cola’s long-standing tradition of personalization, seen in some of its most memorable campaigns.
According to Islam ElDessouky, Global VP of Creative Strategy & Content at Coca-Cola: “As a brand, we are anchored in enduring values but also deeply connected to the present. Our partnership with Converse perfectly embodies that spirit. The new edition of the Chuck 70 merges two icons that share authenticity, history, and a genuine connection to contemporary culture.”
