Coca-Cola’s commercial captures spontaneous moments of joy in its latest advertising campaign.

Happiness is one of Coca-Cola’s leitmotifs. For more than 100 years it has emphasized the fact of enjoying and having a good time accompanied by a bottle of Coca-Cola. For its latest advertising campaign, it has gone one step further by recreating small moments of happiness.

The campaign is titled “Spills” and shows spontaneous moments of joy followed by a spill from a Coca-Cola bottle.

Coca-Cola campaign – Spills

“Spills” is the title of the Coca-Cola commercial made by the OpenX agency led by David Miami and supported by Ogilvy PR. The campaign aims to put a spin on the fact that we drop a Coca-Cola bottle, something that always bothers us and puts us in a bad mood.

This is the insight of the new Coca-Cola campaign, a series of three ads that recreate small moments of happiness. Thus, we will see passionate hugs in different situations: a reunion at a train station, at a party or returning home to hug our dog. Situations where the happiness of meeting that person is greater than spilling a bottle of Coca-Cola.

“Worth Every Drop” is the final slogan in each piece of the Coca-Cola campaign and that we will see reflected in different advertising media. To carry out the campaign, “slow motion” and “reverse motion” techniques have been used to highlight the role that a Coca-Cola bottle plays in the scene.

According to Edgard Gianesi, chief creative officer at David Miami: “In the campaign we aspire to capture what Coca-Cola truly represents. It is a brand that is much more than a drink and brings genuine moments of connection to people. In ‘Spills’ celebrates those moments when the joy of being with loved ones is so overwhelming that even a spilled bottle becomes a beautiful memory.”
