The Coca-Cola campaign is called “Video Vinyls” and has been created in collaboration with the agency Ogilvy Singapore and illustrators Vanilla Chi, Rakhmat Jaka, and Mathieu Labrecque.
This project is part of the Coke Studio Philippines initiative, which aims to redefine the vinyl listening experience by merging nostalgia with innovation, solidifying its position as a creative platform that transcends music. The limited edition of these records has been distributed among music editors and radio DJs, making them exclusive and highly sought-after pieces.
The Coca-Cola vinyls feature illustrations that come to life using the zoetrope technique, one of the oldest forms of animation, which creates the illusion of movement when the record spins at high speed. This visual experience complements the music and strengthens the emotional connection to the work.
The artists involved not only created striking animations but also included hidden references in the designs. They studied the song lyrics and record tracks to insert elements that only the most dedicated fans would recognize.
