The Dacia Sandero ad champions everyday mobility to the rhythm of Meat Loaf’s “I’d Do Anything for Love”.
Despite the clear shift of the automotive industry towards electric vehicles and Chinese brands, it is still European companies that are delivering classic advertising campaigns.
This is the case with Dacia, a brand that has spent years building a communication strategy based on honesty and common sense. Not surprisingly, it is the best-selling car in Europe. And it celebrates this with a campaign set to the iconic song by Meat Loaf.
Dacia Sandero 2026 ad
The Dacia Sandero ad was created by the agency Publicis Conseil, directed by Pierre Dupaquier (WAFLA) and produced by Iconoclast. The spot shows a street intersection where several Dacia Sanderos meet, a simple yet highly effective visual device to underline a key idea: with more than three million units on the road across Europe, it is almost impossible not to come across one.
The ad may not be a showcase of groundbreaking creativity, but it builds its story through small, unexpected everyday situations: a walker caught in the rain, a young woman who misses the bus, a roadside breakdown that brings together a teenage girl and her father. In each of these scenes, the Sandero appears as a logical and practical solution—the vehicle that allows the journey to continue when things do not go as planned.
All of this unfolds to the rhythm of “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)” by Meat Loaf. A classic that sends shivers down your spine and makes it impossible not to feel moved while listening to the late American artist’s song.
In a statement, Dacia said: “This campaign aims to faithfully reflect the real use drivers make of the Sandero: a car designed to solve everyday problems, not to star in unattainable dreams.”
