The Jeep commercial features Harrison Ford inviting us to write our own manual for living life.

One of the most popular brands at the Super Bowl is Jeep. The American car brand never misses its date with the most watched event in the country. This time they have presented an advertisement that encourages us to write our own story.

And it does so with the help of Harrison Ford who, in his retirement in a wooden cabin, reflects on how to live life. A motivational speech accompanied by bucolic images in an advertisement recorded by the acclaimed director James Mangold.

Jeep Commercial with Harrison Ford

“Owner’s Manual” is the title of the Jeep commercial for Super Bowl featuring Harrison Ford. It was made by the agency Stellantis and directed by James Mangold, director of films such as “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”, “Logan” or “Walk the Line”.

The piece shows us Harrison Ford at 82 years old and the reflections he makes on how life should be lived. The actor challenges us to tell us that each one should write his own story and above all, do things that make you feel good and surround yourself with your loved ones.

In a small wooden cabin located in a natural setting that could well be Yellowstone, Ford reflects on the humility of the American hero, freedom and the ability to inspire others. Between patriotic images of soldiers, flags and American landscapes, the actor affirms that “freedom is for everyone, but you have to earn it.”

The actor ends the Jeep ad with a little humorous twist: “Choose what makes you happy. My friends, my family, my job make me happy. This Jeep (Wrangler 4xe) makes me happy… even though my name is Ford. That’s my owner’s manual. Go out there. Write your own.”

The actor commented: “I said ‘yes’ to doing this commercial because of the script. It’s a very direct communication about what life means and it ends with someone getting into a Jeep, that’s the hook. I didn’t need to reintroduce myself or point out that I’ve been many things in my life and I’ve been known for specific projects or roles. It’s just a calm conversation of someone sharing an idea. I loved how it played out.”

For his part, Bob Broderdorf, CEO of the Jeep brand explained: “In this year’s Super Bowl ad, the Jeep brand has the actor who personifies adventure both on and off the big screen. In film, Harrison Ford has defied the odds and flown from one side of the galaxy to the other in the name of adventure, and in real life, he’s known for forging his own path. So yes, Ford knows a thing or two about what the Jeep brand stands for.”
