Volkswagen’s advertising campaign presents its new electric models parodying Hollywood movies.
The automotive industry is fully embracing electric technology. Always in tow of Tesla, which was the first brand to clearly bet on having 100% electric vehicles. And this new paradigm is giving wings to creatives, who can bring new visions to a market that was saturated in terms of advertising.
This is the case of Volkswagen, which was able to overcome its controversy over the manipulation of gases by betting on electric technology. Now, to present their new models, they have made a fun series of commercials parodying Hollywood movies.
“Electrifying Movies” is the title of the Volkswagen advertising campaign created by the adam&eveDDB London agency. It is about a series of short commercials that parody iconic moments of Hollywood cinema, and how the resulting technology depends on electricity.
Thus, we see references to spy, monster, superhero or horror movies and how electricity can ruin the moments of greatest tension in order to charge the vehicle. All to promote Volkswagen’s new electric models, the fully electric ID.4 GTX, the Golf eHybrid and the Arteon Shooting Brake eHybrid.
