Renault’s advert is a colourful story to present its new E-Tech model
Publicis Conseil was in charge of the advertising campaign

Renault’s advert shows us its new E-Tech model and claims its French roots.
Renault is a French car brand with more than 100 years of history. Throughout its history, it has launched iconic models that have marked an entire generation. Now, with the arrival of electric models, the brand is preparing for a new revolution.
And if we have to talk about revolution, we will undoubtedly think of France. And this is the leitmotif of the campaign: “Revolution is a very French thing”, which presents the brand’s new electric model with a colourful advertisement set to the rhythm of Daft Punk.
Renault Campaign | Revolution is a french ting
“Revolution is a French Thing” is the title of the Renault advert made by the agency Publicis and produced by QUAD. The campaign presents us with the new 100% electric Renault 5 E-Tech, an ambitious model to electrify the entire Renault range.
The piece shows us the avant-garde spirit that has always characterized the French, with their search for innovation and progress, and their desire for social and cultural change. To do so, it shows us the new version of the Renault 5, the best-selling car in France from 1973 to 1984.
And it does so to the rhythm of the song “Instant Crush” by Daft Punk, which represents the dreamlike journey through different historical periods of the country where we see the cinema of the Nouvelle Vague, moving photography, haute couture or the French Cancan at the Moulin Rouge. The Renault advertisement ends with a reinterpretation of Eugène Delacroix’s painting: “Liberty leading the people.”
According to Arnaud Belloni, Renault’s Global Marketing Director: “This film is a tribute to France. In 2024, more than ever, we continue to highlight the strong symbols of French art, culture and know-how, and the R5 fits perfectly into this line.”
