Apple’s advert is a tribute to creators: “Worlds Made on iPad”
The professional animators from the Hornet studio have been in charge of the scenes
Apple’s advert for iPad celebrates the community of creators in a campaign starring Sofia Wylie.
Everyone was expectant about what Apple’s next step would be after the controversy raised with its latest advertising campaign. In the keynote presentation of the new iPad models, the Cupertino brand crushed with a hydraulic press all those elements that allow us to create.
After the public apology, Apple has released another ad starring actress Sofia Wylie, in which they pay tribute to the creative community and all that creativity can do.
“Worlds Made on iPad” is the title of the Apple’s advert that was made in-house. The campaign shows us the benefits of the iPad and the multiple possibilities it offers. A campaign that comes after the controversial “Crush” for which the brand already apologized with this statement: “Our goal is to always celebrate the countless ways in which users express themselves and bring their ideas to life through the iPad.”
The actress Sofia Wylie is the protagonist who performs a series of movements on a green chroma key set. These movements are reinterpreted by different artists, who show us different scenes that come to life as the actress performs her movements. Thus, we see a background made with illustration, another that breathes science fiction and the last one that immerses us in a world of geometric shapes.
The scenes have been directed by director Bennett Johnson. Animators Natalie Labarre, Jay & Jin and Eric Lane, all from the Hornet studio, have created the different universes.
According to the brand, in the text that accompanies the piece: “A piece of green screen footage interpreted by different animators using iPad Pro with M4 chip and the new Apple Pencil Pro.”
