The Cheetos advert for Halloween is a fun story set in the world of “Wednesday.”

The final months of the year are approaching, and brands are getting ready for a season full of major events. The first one up is Halloween, and brands are launching their most mischievous campaigns to attract younger audiences.

One of them is Cheetos, which shows us Wednesday’s hand trying every possible way to open a bag of snacks. In a story as absurd as it is delightful, the famous character struggles to keep calm while attempting to open a bag of Cheetos.

Cheetos – “Anything for Cheetos”

The Cheetos advert is titled “Anything for Cheetos” and was created by the agency Isla México, produced by Primo, and directed by Nicolás Pérez Veiga. It premiered in Mexico to coincide with the release of the second season of Wednesday on Netflix.

The advert portrays Thing’s hilarious odyssey as it tries to open a bag of Cheetos. No matter how hard it tries, its five fingers simply aren’t enough. What follows is a series of exaggerated yet clever attempts: from crushing the bag, to using a chainsaw, or even electrocuting itself to tear it open.

Finally, after several failed attempts, Thing finds the solution to its dilemma: letting one nail grow, sharpening it with a file, and at last, opening the long-awaited bag of Cheetos. A resolution as simple as it is brilliant, perfectly matching the humorous and absurd tone of the Addams universe.

All of this unfolds to the rhythm of “La Llorona” performed by Chavela Vargas, adding a melancholic and theatrical touch that contrasts beautifully with the comedic tone of the spot, enhancing its cinematic aesthetic.
