The Coca-Cola advert was made without showing the product
Ogilvy India was in charge of the advertising campaign

The Coca-Cola advert reinvents the way of communicating without showing the product.
When it comes to creative innovation, Coca-Cola is usually one of the leading brands setting the trend. From its Christmas campaigns to collaborations with global artists, the brand has always been at the forefront of advertising trends.
But in a time where it seems everything has already been done, creatives must go one step further to avoid doing the same thing over and over. This is the case with the brand’s latest campaign, where Coca-Cola aims to go even further and convey the taste of the product… without showing it.
Coke Zero Advert – Auditions
“Coke Zero Auditions” is the title of the Coca-Cola Zero advert created by the agency Ogilvy India. The campaign aims to convey the sensation of drinking a product in its purest form.
The spot shows us a real casting session where actors and actresses take part in an audition for a commercial. The participants begin to perform following the casting director’s instructions, who encourages them to carry out different everyday actions and express a range of emotions.
At one point, they are asked to open a Coca-Cola Zero, drink it and enjoy its refreshing taste, evoking a pleasant feeling. The actors’ performances are so natural and universal that they transcend the screen.
The final result was displayed on digital billboards across the country, letting the audience complete the scene in their minds. According to Greishma Singh, Vice President of Marketing for Coca-Cola India: “This campaign is based on the simplicity of a clever idea that brings the delicious taste of a Coca-Cola Zero to life without the usual slogans or direct messages… not even showing the product.”
Meanwhile, Sukesh Nayak, Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy India, stated: “We realized that the greatest inspiration lies in the name Coca-Cola Zero. With that zero spirit, we designed a campaign that simply and effectively shows the impact of Zero without showing the drink.”
