The Ikea advert encourages us to enjoy our home with its new claim: “Do try this at home.”

These are delicate times for domestic economies. The increase in prices and poor forecasts make each family take a closer look at their financial movements. That is why today it is time to enjoy home more than ever while waiting for better times.

This situation is what has inspired Ikea in its new global campaign that will be spread in 31 countries. The Swedish multinational invites us to see the home as a refuge where we can enjoy moments of happiness.

Ikea Global Campaign: Do Try This at Home

“Do try this at home” is the title of the Ikea advert made by the McCann Spain agency. A campaign that aims to connect with the consumer, regardless of the country they are from or how old they are.

The piece shows us those moments of happiness that we can have at home: A race with the littlest stuffed animals, a small gaming corner where all the members of the house can play and even a stage to put on concerts.

The campaign will be accompanied by a price drop on 900 products in the Ikea catalogue. According to Gabriel Ladaria, Marketing Director of IKEA in Spain: “Although 60% of people are happy with their current life at home, 40% worry about the domestic economy, according to data from the ‘Life at Home Report 2023′. from IKEA.’ We wanted to reflect in this new campaign the need to “rebel” and stand up to the situation, looking for moments that make us happy and new ways of doing what we like, but without spending a lot of money.”

For his part, Emiliano González De Pietri, Creative General Director of McCann Spain: “The new creative approach ‘Home Can Do It’ elevates the role of the home from a simple container of our lives to a catalyst for our dreams. It is a thought that could only come from IKEA, a brand that has democratized design on a global scale, empowering and inspiring millions of people.”
