The Paramount+ commercial for Super Bowl brings us a fun campaign starring some of the network’s characters.
If you have to advertise at the Super Bowl, you have to get attention somehow. Brands know this and try to place as many inputs as possible in their ads.
This is the case of the Paramount+ streaming platform that has already revolutionized the Super Bowl break in 2023. In the spot we saw Sylvester Stallone climbing the famous snowy mountain that makes up the Paramount logo. Now we will find Patrick Stewart, Arnold, Jim Dangle, Knuckles and Peppa Pig starring in this year’s campaign.
Paramount Plus Super Bowl Campaign with Patrick Stewart
The Paramount+ commercial for the Super Bowl was made by the Droga5 agency. It is the 15th ad that the network has made under the slogan “A Mountain of Entertainment”; after they released it three years ago.
The piece shows us various characters from the chain trying to climb a mountain. We see how Patrick Stewart leads the peculiar group to try to reach the summit. Tua Tagovailoa, star of the Miami Dolphins, is the one who tries to throw a grappling hook, failing to do so.
Patrick Stewart suggests throwing something “shaped like an American football” while everyone looks at Arnold, the popular cartoon from the animated series “Hey Arnold!”. Evidently, everyone refuses to throw a child against a rock, so Patrick Stewart decides to take the reins to save the group.
Lt. Jim Dangle (Thomas Lennon in “Reno 911!”) and Knuckles (Idris Elba) from “Sonic the Hedgehog” like the plan. The only one who hates him more than Drew Barrymore (“The Drew Barrymore Show”) is Arnold (from “Hey Arnold!”), the one with the head shaped like a football. While the Master Chief from “Halo” and “Dora the Explorer” look at him from a distance.
While the launch is taking place, the group Creed appears on stage playing “Higher” to give the moment more epicness. Finally, Arnold does not arrive and Patrick Stewart asks for a ball made of pigskin, while “Peppa Pig” swallows saliva.
