Sylvester Stallone stars in Paramount’s Super Bowl commercial
The Droga5 agency has been in charge of the advertising campaign
Sylvester Stallone climbs his own mountain in Paramount’s Super Bowl commercial.
Super Bowl advertising campaigns always bring us great celebrities playing the most unexpected roles. Of course it is the example of Arnold Schwarzenegger as Zeus in the BMW commercial of the last edition.
And as it could not be less, his most celebrated rival in the 80s and 90s, Sylvester Stallone, claims his share of the screen this year. And he does it by starring in Paramount’s advert for the Super Bowl.
“Stallone Face” is the title of the Paramount+ commercial starring Sylvester Stallone. It falls under the creative umbrella “A Mountain of Entertainment” that the brand launched in 2021. It was produced by the Droga5 agency, produced by O Positive and directed by David Shane.
The piece shows us the main stars of the chain ready to climb the iconic mountain that Paramount represents. Before but, they must decide which face to climb to reach the top: The north face, the south face or the face of Sylvester Stallone. This last one is the most complicated of all, the one that no one would ever dare to climb… if you are not yourself.
The actor’s daughters Sophia, Scarlet and Sistine, Dora the Explorer, Captain Pike or Beavis and Butt-Head are some of the stars of the chain present in the Super Bowl commercial.
According to Domenic DiMeglio, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Paramount Streaming: “The campaign has been a huge driver in raising awareness for Paramount+. It is truly a unique opportunity to reach over 100 million viewers at a time and entertain our fans. And one of the few that really brings so many of us together in one moment.”
