The Barista in BMW’s teaser for Super Bowl Commercial is Matty Cardarople

BMW’s commercial for the Super Bowl has undoubtedly been one of the most acclaimed by consumers. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Salma Hayek have brought Zeus and Hera to life in their retreat on Mount Olympus.

But there is another actor who has stolen their spotlight and, although he does not appear in the official BMW commercial for the Super Bowl, he did appear in the brief teaser that the brand released weeks ago.

Matty Cardarople, the actor behind the Barista in BMW’s commercial

A week after the Super Bowl, BMW launched a teaser to announce their apparition during the half time with a commercial with Arnold Schwarzenegger as Zeus. The actor released a teaser where we see Zeus in a cafeteria asking for coffee. The barista is Matty Cardarople, who we have seen in Stranger Things, who has difficulty pronouncing Zeus’s name correctly.

Matty Cardarople certainly isn’t as well-known as Schwarzenegger, he’s still an actor that most TV viewers may recognize even if they’re not entirely sure what it is they’ve seen him in before. Like Netflix viewers, who will likely recognize him for his recurring guest appearances as Keith, the condescending arcade and movie rental store worker in “Stranger Things.”

Matty Cardarople also starred as the Henchperson of Indeterminate Gender in Netflix’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” and as Charlie in the short-lived ABC series, “Selfie.” Additionally, Cardarople has had brief recurring roles on shows like “Reservation Dogs” and “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and has had minor roles in several notable films over the past few years, including “The Big Sick,” “Free Guy,” and”Logan Lucky” (via IMDb).
