Doritos’ commercial continues his support for the LGTB + collective with this emotional story: “It is never too late to be who you are.”
Doritos’ determination is clear and his defense of the LGTB + collective is firm. With his campaign concept “Pride all year long” he has left us some of the best advertising campaigns of the Pride movement. Announcements celebrated and applauded for their involvement and creativity.
Now they return with a new advertising campaign that serves to celebrate the Day of the Dead in Mexico, a celebration that takes place on November 1. A campaign that continues with the good work of the brand to bring us an emotional love story.
“It’s never too late to be who you are” is the title of the Doritos Mexico ad. Created by Slap Global agency and Final Frontier production company, the brand has opted for an animation style reminiscent of Pixar and its hit “Coco”. In the ad, we see how an older woman goes to the cemetery to honor her late brother Alberto. To everyone’s surprise, he appears before them and introduces them to his partner, Mario. Her sister responds with respect and acceptance, including jokes.
With this campaign, Doritos celebrates pride and diversity by appealing that “Pride will now be part of our traditions.” It is included within the “Pride all year round” platform under Doritos Rainbow, a space created by the brand to support the LGBT + community and their families with workshops, support and donations.
