This year, they’ve evolved their storytelling to show that there’s still room for great Christmas stories that warm our hearts. They do so by portraying the bond between a father and son through the power of music — making it, without a doubt, one of the best Christmas adverts of the year.

The John Lewis Christmas advert is titled “Wherever Love Lives” and was created by the agency Saatchi & Saatchi.
Throughout its two-minute duration, the narrative takes us on a musical journey that reflects the closeness between father and son. The chosen song, “Where Love Lives” by Alison Limerick, reimagined by artist and producer Labrinth, serves as the emotional thread and symbol of their connection.
Visually, the advert transports us to a vibrant nightclub where music and dance become a universal language of affection and gratitude. The story concludes with the tagline “If you can’t find the words, find the gift,” a phrase that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the campaign.
