The agency TBC has been in charge of the advertising campaign
“Play Until They Can’t Look Away” is the title of the Adidas commercial for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Historically, the World Cup have served as a showcase for the big brands, marking a before and after at the communicative level. There we have Nike, which with “Airport” revolutionized the market thanks to the Brazilian team. Or Adidas with his José+10 for the World Cup in Germany.
Now brands are using this strategy again to boost their support for Women’s Soccer and influence the new market that is opening up around the world. For the Soccer World Cup held in France, Nike hit the table with its “Dream Further”. Now it’s up to Adidas to respond with this campaign.
“Play Until They Can’t Look Away” is the title of the Adidas commercial for the Women’s World Cup. It has been produced by the TBC agency and is a celebration of the new generation of players who combine strength and creativity.
The Adidas commercial stars three of today’s biggest stars: the English Alessia Russo, the Australian Mary Fowler and the German Lena Oberdorf. Interspersing natural landscapes of Australia, headquarters of the World Cup and a supermarket.
The campaign does not hesitate to use the big stars of the brand to give an extra boost with Leo Messi, David Beckham and Ian Wright; who observe mesmerized the movement of the players.
According to Sina Neubrandt, Global Communications Director of Adidas: “It will be in many ways a turning point for women’s football. We hope that by bringing some of the brightest stars in women’s football into the spotlight we can inspire the next generation of players to follow your dreams.”
