Apple’s commercial is a new installment of “Shot on iPhone” and presents us with the stories of a Mexican wrestling fighter.
Apple continues to create stories and content in its “Shot on iPhone” series. It is material recorded entirely with an Apple device and allows you to show all the technological benefits of the iPhone.
The Cupertino brand recently premiered “The Great Escape”, a fast-paced chase through the streets of Istanbul made by the creative team from Turkey. Now it is the turn of a story that pays homage to Mexican culture and wrestling.
“Hurricane Ramirez vs. La Piñata Enchilada” is the title of the Apple commercial created by the agency TBWA\Media Arts Lab LATAM and directed by Los Pérez. The piece lasts 14 minutes and is a fun story about how a piñata becomes a threat to the population. Everything changes when “Huracán Ramírez”, a Mexican wrestling fighter has to face the threat.
Apple’s commercial is a tribute to Mexican culture and Mexico City. It has two very popular characters in the Central American country: Huracán Ramírez and Dr. Wagner. Both must return from exile to return to save the world from the dangerous villain.
To make the short film, the integrated cameras of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models have been used. For the stable shot of movement, the Action mode has been used and for the blurring of planes, the Cinema mode.
