Disney’s Christmas advert follows last year’s line with “Our Other Father.”
We continue with the battery of Christmas adverts for 2021. After presenting its partnership with Juegaterapia to launch a solidarity doll, Disney launches its Christmas campaign for this year.
The company followed the brand line last year when its Christmas ad went viral with “Stories that unite us.” This time he has chosen to show us the bond of a young family and encourages us to read a book as a family.
The Stepdad is part of the “Stories that unite us” campaign in which Disney is committed to diversity. The ad shows a young family and their bond through a storybook that belongs to the children’s biological father. Through classic Disney drawings, the protagonists enjoy moments together turning the pages.
Disney’s Christmas advert has been made by the in-house creative team and support from Flux Animation Studio in New Zealand. According to Tasia Filippatos, Senior Vice President, Disney EMEA: “Reading together can be a truly magical experience and our ad celebrates this age-old tradition and the wonder and imagination it inspires.”
The campaign has been launched in 45 territories, all of them duly localized to the language. It is the starting gun for Disney’s Christmas campaign and is part of the “From our family to yours” initiative. This initiative aims to support the “Make-A-Wish” foundation that is responsible for fulfilling the wishes of children with critical illnesses.
